Black Mountain
03:19
|

If I have to go
You will have to stay
If I have to go
You will have to stay
House with wings
Black mountain runaway
Black mountain handshake
Black mountain gimme a break
Black mountain bird brain
What will it take for you to pray
Listen to the water anyway
If I have to go
You will have to stay
If I have to go
You will have to stay
House with wings
Bad times don't pare us back
Bad times oh snicker snack
Bad times buy a pack
Bad times don't reveal nothing
Except maybe everything
That momma yesterday had lain
If I have to go
You will have to stay
If I have to go
You will have to stay
House with wings

Beauty in general

Just as they do every year
The leaves grow trees
The japanese maple breathes
Just as song collapses time
He's shaking hands
With a collapse of her life
And the ducks feel shy
And the doe is afraid to die
And the bees pay you no mind
And the robin wants to come inside

Sweet song of mourning
02:40
|
|||
Goose egg at Lake Susan died
Count less than yesterday lied
Tomorrow the sun won't rise
Goose egg at Lake Susan died
Silent into the tide
Tomorrow the chickadee won't cry
Sweep up sweep up the wood
For now nothing will ever come to any good

Woodpecker follow
02:40
|
|||
Woodpecker follow me on my run
Searching for a stone to skip along
Mushroom on the log is clean is bright
All bad things are alive and can die
If you don't have the words
Make a joyful sound
A joyful sound
For a mournful now
A joyful sound

Lake Susan
03:13
|
|||
How many hymns have been sung
here on the banks of Lake Susan
And how many seeds have been sown
to make me grown
Who first stared at the sun
Who first walked this land we are on
And who first kneeled at the foot of the soon
What's in a name, Susan
Yesterday rose the sun
Just as every yesterday has done
I have no reason to doubt another one
Breathe easy, Susan
